Leon Emerson Sook

     Leon Emerson Sook was born on 19 December 1884 at Los Angeles, CA.. He was the son of Henry Sylvanus Sook and Ella M. Smith. He married Ellen "Nellie" Phillips, daughter of Thomas Phillips and Jane Davies, on 28 September 1908 at Portland, Multnomah Co, OR.. He was an optometrist and optician. He worked for Columbia Optical and then Thompson Optical. In 1913, he went into business for himself at Portland, OR..¹⁰ He married Minerva "Minnie" Christianson, daughter of Erasmus Christianson and Mary (---), circa 1916.¹¹ He went to Baker, OR, and worked as a optometrist and optician. He sold his business in Baker in 1919. He lived in 1920 at Chicago, IL; with his mother and son. He then returned to Portland. He married Delia Louise Saling, daughter of William Saling and Luella Wallace, circa 1932. He lived in 1949 at Bakersfield, CA.. He died on 14 March 1963 at Lincoln Co, OR., at age 78.
