Melvin James Rhome was born on 26 January 1880 at Hundred, WV.. He was the son of Henry Harrison Rhome and Minerva J. Phillips. He married Minnie Ward on 26 September 1901 at Pittsburgh, PA..7 He married Laura Elizabeth Ward, daughter of Nathan B. Ward and Sarah Elizabeth Sharp, on 15 April 1910. He was an employee of Standard Tin Plate Co for 32 years and was an employee for Forbes Steel Co for 12 years. He died on 24 April 1966 at Canonsburg, Washington Co, PA., at age 86.
