     Oscar Goodburn Burch was born on 30 December 1841 at Cayuga Co, NY.. He was the son of Varnum Dyer Burch and Amanda Chapin. He served with Co. A, 19th Iowa Infantry during the Civil War. He was a prisoner of war. He died on 7 June 1916 at Jefferson, Cole Co, MO., at age 74. He was buried at Riverview Cemetery, Jefferson City, MO..
