| The purpose of this site is to make available genealogical records pertaining to the Hewson Families of Ireland and Canada. My Hewson line came to Canada in 1834 from Tipperary, Ireland and settled in Caistor Township, Ontario. They are related to the Cobourg, Ontario Hewsons who settled somewhat later. Another allied family is Hargraft. The Hewsons and Hargrafts were connected by marriage in Ireland and later generations had family and business ties in Canada. The Hewsons married into Burgess, Butler, Carter, Clendinin, Cooper, Bowman, Dean, Hutton, Johns, Marr, Nelson, Penfold, Ryerse, Thomas, and Weaver families. Most of these records have been extracted over a period of several years research by myself or have been submitted to me. Please feel free to contribute any relevant information. |
