Other Clues
Thomas J McMains was born in Iowa. His parents were born in Indiana. He served as a petit juror for the District Court, and he had a farm on which International Harvester experimented with new farm equipment. Thomas and Addie (unknown maiden name) had 3 children. Marie was born in 1896. Lucille was born in 1898 and graduated from Rock Rapids High School in 1916. She died in 1918. The third child was Doris, who was born about 1906 in Iowa. In 1910, the family was enumerated in Rock County, Minnesota, but must have returned to Lyon County before Lucille's graduation. Thomas died in 1935 and is buried in the Riverview Cemetery, Rock Rapids IA. His wife, Addie, died in 1916 (probably as a result of childbirth). She is also buried in the Riverview Cemetery also. Their daughter, Lucille who died in 1918 is also buried in the Riverview Cemetery.

We would like to know who Thomas' parents were, as it is highly likely that they are related to our McMains family in Indiana. We would also like to know what became of daughters Marie and Doris. Did they bear offspring? If so, did they remain the Lyon County area?  I welcome inquiries from other interested parties.
