"Willis" written in
Ezekiel
Mary McMains married Willis Everett Pierson. His first name is scribbled in the Bible next to Ezekiel Chapter 24. It isn't clear why his name is written here. Perhaps he was to read aloud from the scripture during a church service. He may have pencilled in his name to keep his place. This seems very possible since the name is written at the beginning of a chapter. For whatever reason his name appears here, it serves to confirm that his name was Willis, and he was connected to the Alexander family. |
