To my HESTON Family Cousins,
Plans have begun for the Third Annual National HESTON Family Reunion to be held next summer on JUL 03, 2010 Saturday in the wonderful state of Iowa; possibly in the city of Osceola where the previous HESTON Family Reunion took place 50 years earlier to the day on JUL 03, 1960 where 350 HESTON Family descendants gathered for the Second Annual National HESTON Family Reunion headed by that HESTON genealogist, John P. HESTON.
We are looking for one, two, or three HESTON Family cousins to step forward and volunteer their efforts to hold the Third Annual National HESTON Family Reunion somewhere in the State of Iowa; either in the city of Osceola OR in any of the other cities such as Dubuque (where I, Martin J. Bellard, lived in from 1980 to 1982), Des Moines, or Sioux City, or anywhere else in Iowa.
Earlier this year The Second Annual National HESTON Family Reunion was held on JUN 20, 2009 Saturday in Wycombe, Pennsylvania AND then moved to the Wrightstown Village Library in Wrightstown, Pennsylvania due to the rainy weather. That HESTON Family Reunion was a wonderful success with 34 HESTON cousins in attendance; 28 of whom initially gathered in Wycombe and the Reunion moved to Wrightstown where 6 more HESTON Family Cousins joined us for a total of 34 HESTON Family cousins.
Plan now to attend next year for the 50th Anniversary of that previous Reunion in 1960... All interested HESTON cousins need to spread the word AND start efforts to make this a reality. Thank you.--- MJB

I am Martin J. BELLARD, a HESTON Family descendant. My four-great-grandparents are John BALLARD (or BELLARD) and Sarah HESTON, the great-granddaughter of Zebulon HESTON and Dorothy HUTCHINSON. I began my Genealogy Research in AUG 1970 when I was a young teenager. I first found out, in DEC 1998, about my HESTON Family ancestors. And I found out, in DEC 2000, about our cousin John P. HESTON, the Editor and Publisher of the HESTON HISTORIAN newsletters and directories written from 1957 to 1961, as well as the three Annual National HESTON Family Reunions which he had organized - 1959 in Pennsylvania, 1960 in Iowa, and 1961 in California.
I became so inspired by the work of John P. HESTON, that I decided to become actively involved with the HESTON Family with Newsletters and Reunions. The first thing that I did was to research thru several of the past years of EVERTON'S GENEALOGICAL HELPER Magazine which annually lists Family Associations, Family Newsletters, and Family Reunions. To my dismay, I discovered nothing listed for the HESTON Family.
I placed a listing for the HESTON FAMILY ASSOCIATION in EVERTON'S GENEALOGICAL HELPER in their MAR/APR 2001 issue and in EVERTON'S FAMILY HISTORY (Magazine's new name) in their MAR/APR 2002 issue.
