Gusse Heron
Funeral services for Mr. Gusse LaVelle Heron, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. today, 
Feb. 22, 2005, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Heron officiating. 
Burial will follow at Ebenezer Church Cemetery under the direction of Rockett
Funeral Home in Ringgold.  

Mr. Heron, a native of Castor, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, at Ringgold Nurse
Care Center. He was born July 12, 1926. He was a faithful member of the Baptist
church and a 50-plus year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death
by his father, Willie Addison; two brothers, LaVaughn and Jimmye Ray; one grandson, 
James Cook; and step-son, Stevie Weiss.

He is survived by his mother, Lillian Page Heron; one son, Ronnie and wife Yvonne
of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Iris of Campti, Vonna of Summerfield, and Becky
of Castor; their mother, Alice, also of Castor; one step-daughter, Jeannie Joyner
of Castor; one brother, Gerald of Livingston, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 
13 great-grandchildren; one uncle and a host of many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ben, J.D., Jesse, David, Dustin, Cody, Daniel
and Joel. Five of his granddaughters, Erin, April, Lindsy, Casey and Rachael, 
will sing.
