My Great, Grandfather Felix M. Furlonger was
born c.1855 in Haslemere, Surrey, England, and
died Oct 1881 in Dublin, Ireland.

He was a butcher by trade and a British Army
Officer when posted to Dublin. Felix is said to
have been a cook and a Sergeant Major in the
British Army. While in Dublin he met and married
Florence. She remarried after his death.


Felix's mother, my Great, Great, Grandmother Jane
Flint. She was born c.1827 in Ewhurst , Surrey,
England. She married Walter Furlonger,
son of John Furlonger and Hannah. Felix was her third child.
Records show her as a butcher's wife.


This is my Great, Grandmother
Deborah McAteer , born c.1851
in Northern Ireland, died 19 April,
1911 at 9 Crossley Street, Belfast,
Northern Ireland. Deborah married
John Simpson and had five children.


Deborah's sister Agnes McAteer and her husband
Thomas Pelan lived at Rainey Street, Donegal Pass,
Belfast, Northern Ireland. "Tom" was a compositor
by trade. Last name may also have been spelled Phelan.


Annie Simpson is my Grandmother. In the photograph
she is holding my mother Deborah. Annie was born
and died in Belfast Northern Ireland. She married
Felix E. Furlonger , a butcher by trade and the outright
winner of the 1907 Belfast to Lurgan,
"go as you please" marathon.
