Martin William Wilson (Little Willy & Pop) Branscum
Martin was born on August 29, 1889 in Stone County, Arkansas.
Martin married on September 1, 1910 in Fox, Stone County, Arkansas to Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzie) Taylor.
Martin William Wilson (Pop) or (Little Willy) at the time he was born, his parents lived right on the County line, were not sure which side of the line the house was on, so until some one finds proof of which county he was born in. Everyone called him Willie until they moved to Oklahoma. William A. Branscum son of John Wesley and Nancy Jane Branscum was called Willie also. So to tell which they were talking about they called Martin, Little Willie, and William A., Big Willie. Martin was a small short man and William was a larger man. His grandson Tony Pierce started calling him Pop. Since then everyone called him Pop. He married Sarah Elizabeth Taylor (Lizzie).
They lived just outside of Fox, this was where Gurtha and Eva were born. Martin and his wife's brothers, Willie and Frank Taylor cut railroad ties during the summer and fall of 1918 in Lafayette County, Arkansas. (This is in southwestern corner of Arkansas.) Martin then moved to Willow, Lafayette County and share cropped on the Agee's place. This was where Owen was born. He moved back to Stone County in the fall of 1920 and lived in Happy Holler. Then they moved just south of their Uncle Calvin Broyles place across the Syllamore Creek. Here was where William Claude was born. They moved about two miles west of Blue Mountain School House on Walter Guffy's place for two years, still across the Syllamore Creek. They moved down on the Syllamore Creek on Goodwin place and this was where Henry Edward was born.

They moved to Oklahoma in 1927 and share cropped for Tom Sexton. They built a home across the road south and at the south end of the Sexton place. The first house was across the creek and later they built a new one between the road running south along side the Sexton place and the creek. The house across the creek was converted into a barn. Gurtha and Eva were married in this area.
He appeared in the census in 1930 in Konawa, Seminole County, Oklahoma, age 41, Roll: 1930; Page: 2A; Enumeration District: Image: 550.0.

They moved to Texas about the mid to late 30's.
Martin moved to California and was living there when WW2 started and worked for Diming-Hardison Farms for 10 years as a Agriculture Laborer and then retired.
He died 9:30pm of Stroke caused by High Blood Pressure on July 1, 1967 in Bakersfield, Kern County, California.
He was buried on July 5, 1967 in Bardsdale Cemetery, Fillmore, Ventura County, California.
He was a laborer at Domingo Hardison Farms for 10 years in Bakersfield, Kern County, California.
