Notes for ELLIS MCCORMICK ~ Ellis McCormick, died recently.  One of five children from John's first marriage to Lou Vernie Rawl.  One of the county's first circuit ministers, whose career span was 74 years.  "Daddy was real proud of him," said Lorayne.  "He started preaching when he was about 15 years old, standing up in the cotton field. Instead of pickin' cotton he was preaching to the kids and the other workers in the field,"
