County of Comanche Wm Stone, Dec'dPROOF of Last WILL and Testament of Wm. Stone Deceased.
This day personally appeared in open court R W Reid______________
who, being duly sworn as a witness in the above entitled matter, and examined on behalf of the applicant to prove said Will, says: I was well acquainted with Wm Stone deceased, during his lifetime; I knew the above decedent for about twenty five years before his death; the signature of the said deceased to the instrument now shown to me, and offered for probate as his last Will and Testament, and bearing date of July the 9th in the year A.D. 1898 was made by the deceased at Proctor Texas in presence of myself and D C Johnson, the other subscribing witness; all of said witnesses being over the age of fourteen years. At the time of the making of said Will the testator was of sound and disposing mind and memory, and he declared the said Will so made by him to be his last Will and Testament, and I thereupon signed my name as a witness, together with D C Johnson, at the request of the said testator, in his presence and in the presence of each other. The said desceased at the time of the esecuting of said instrument was about 80 years of age; the said Wm Stone departed this life on the 11th day of November A.D.1900, about 2 years and 4 months after making said Will.(signed) R H Reid

Will of William Stone
July 9, 1898I William Stone of the town of Proctor, County of Comanche and State of Texas, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament.
To-wit-
First. All my just debts and final expenses shall be first fully paid.
Second. I give, devise, and bequeath the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to my beloved daughter Margaret James, to have, to hold, to her, my said daughter and to her heirs and assignees forever.
Third. I nominate and appoint T A James to be the executor of my last will and testament, having revoking all former wills by me (?) In witness hereof I have (?) my hand and seal, this 9th day of July AD1898 (signed) Wm Stone
Signed, sealed, published and declared as said for his will and testamentby the above named testator, in my presence, who has, at his request and in his (?) person and in the presence of each other, signed our names (last few words undetectable)

To the Hon County Court in and for said Comanche County Texas
Your petitioner, T.A. James, shows to the Court that he resides in Nolan County Texas.
That William Stone is dead. That he died on the11th day of November A.D. 1900,
at Proctor, in the State of Texas, and Comanche County.That at and before his death that the said Wm Stone had his residence in Comanche County.
That at the time of his death that the said Wm Stone was possessed of real and personal
property of the value of Eight Hundred & Forty Dollars, and left a written will duly executed and herewith filed in which your petitioner was appointed executor.That your petitioner is not disqualified by law from accepting letters testamentary.
WHEREFORE, your petitioner prays that citation he issued to all said parties in said suit as required by law, that said will be admitted to Probate, that letters testamentary be issued to your petitioner and for other and further orders be made by the Court as may seem proper.
