Dear Lecy
I take this oportunity to write you a few lines. I am at Mr. Pollard, sick but I think I am getting well. I received your letter yesterday eavening dated Feb.the 22. It gave me great satisfaction to hear that you were all well. We are dismounted and ordered to Rio grand I suppose our horses is to start home this eaven or in the morning. I sent my saddle bridle and blanket and spears and my over coat, Janes coat and vest. The Boys that goes with the horses will give you all the news. Write often.

Wm Stone- Dear Brother, I want you to take charge of my horse. I want you to sell him if you can. I think he is worth two hundred dollars no more at present. write to me and I will write when I get in better health,
