John T. Hendon who served in Co D 4th Ala Cav, Confederate States Army, born April 23, 1832, died April 22, 1910. John T. is the son of Harris Hendon who had a brother named William. Their father was Johnson Hendon. John T. Hendon is buried at Friendship Baptist Church's adjacent cemetary off Danville Road, in Danville, Alabama.
