WILLIAM HENDON (1785-1872)
This photo is the oldest known photo of a Henden (or Hendon).
William Henden's father suggested Henden cousins might be fighting
against the
British in the American War of Independence.

Sarah Eliza Hendon (1838-1924)
Sarah, daughter of John Henden, knew her great grandfather,
William Hendon (1763-1848), as a little girl.
He told her tales of the American and French revolutions. Sarah
passed on many memories to her children
and grandchildren. She was 34 years of age when her grandfather
died and knew him well.

Annie Eliza McComiskey (1899-1966)
Daughter of Dora Sill Dickson & grandmother of Graham P. Steer
She was the family historian and had a great knowledge of who-was-who
in Henden family history.
Ronald John Steer (1921-1990)
Son of Annie Eliza McComiskey and father of Graham P. Steer.
Ronald, a veteran of WWII, worked both in Cleveland, Ohio
and California
on aircraft projects for Rolls Royce.
