     Margaret Runchaman was christened on 2 Nov 1746 at Earlston, BEW, SCT; entry reads: Nov 2nd Margaret D to John Runchaman, weaver in in Earlstown.1
     Margaret Runchaman married Robert Richardson, son of Walter Richardson and Margaret Shiell, on 20 Jun 1771 at Maxton, ROX, SCT, entry reads: "Robert Richardson in this parish and ?? blank Runchaman in the parish of Earlston gave up yr names for proclamation for marriage the 20 of (Jun or July??) 1771 they were thrice proclamed no objection offered and married."2
     Margaret Runchaman died aft. 1784 possibly at ?Whitelaw, ROX, SCT.
     The more usual form of her surname is Runciman.
