Note that this is the third son of this name baptized to Donald and Kathrin in a span of 16 years. I have assumed that the other two died, and that the drive to have a son of this name is because Donald's father was a John. There are no marriages obvious on the igi for Watten and Halkirk of the right date to be this John.
