Saturday Morning Services Set for S.M. Hendershott. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Mix Funeral chapel for Samuel Maurice Hendershott, 85 retired farmer of the Tonkawa area who died about 1 p.m. Wednesday in the home of his niece, Miss Lida Mae Cobb, 310 N. Seventh.

Rev. W. B. Shultz, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate at the services; burial will be in Riverview cemetery under Mix direction.

Born July 25 1874 in Macon county, MO, Hendershot moved to Chicago where he lived for a time before coming to Oklahoma. For many years he was engaged in farming before moving into Tonkawa in November, 1957.

He was a member of the First Methodist church of Tonkawa, the IOOF lodge, and the Goodwill Grange.

Survivors include his niece, Lida Mae Cobb of the home; three nephews, Arthur Cobb, Suffern, NY, Maurice Hendershott, Detroit, MI and Roy Hendershott, Columbus, OH; a niece, Mrs. Edwin Riggs, West Newton MA; and several great nieces and great nephews.
