Martha W. Hendershot March 6, 2003

Martha W. Hendershot, Burlington, N.J., formerly of Scranton and Lakewood, N.J., died Thursday at the Masonic Home, Burlington, where she had resided. She was the widow of Robert T. Hendershot, who died in 1990.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late M. William and Marian Huguenin Walsh, she attended Scranton schools and was a graduate of Scranton Central High School. She was a member of the Beverly Maqueda Chapter 276, Order of the Eastern Star; Asbury United Methodist Church and various entertainment groups at the Masonic Home.

She was an artistic person, who enjoyed working with and designing flowers, dancing and golfing.

Surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth J. Ruark, Pittston, and Jean W. Williams, Dalton; a niece and two nephews.

Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family in the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave. Interment will be private in Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Township. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
