KUNNIE HENDERSHOTT
Services for Kunnie Hendershott, 90, of McMinnville will be Nov. 1
at Chapel of Macy and Son with the Rev. Jack Hodges of the Presbyterian
Church officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen memorial Park. Mrs.
Hendershott died Oct. 29 at Oakwood Glen Convalescent Home.
She was born Sept. 4, 1884 at Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Bernard
Wagner and Margaret Decher Hendershott. She married Clarence E.
Hendershott in 1908 and had lived her for 66 years.
Mrs. Hendershott worked for J.C. Penney Co. in McMinnville for 25
years. During that time she placed fourth in the nation among Penny
employees in the sale of War Bonds and Stamps in the Fifth War Loan
drive. She worked in the Blood Bank, Community Chest and USO in World
War I. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star in which
she was a Past Matron, a Grand Representative of Oklahoma and several
other offices. She attended the Presbyterian Church and was a long-time
member of the Guild.
Surviving are sisters, Lena Tate, Portland and Maybelle Burch,
Pacific City and several nieces and nephews.
