DANSVILLE - Daniel Peter Hendershott, 50, of Durham, N.C., passed away Monday evening, Jan. 31, 2000 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. following a long illness.
He was born in Dansville on Oct. 24, 1949, a son of Charles R. and Alice A. Wester Hendershott. He was predeceased by his father Charles in 1988.
Daniel was a minister at the Monroe Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Rochester. He was a great friend and brother.
Daniel is survived by his mother Alice Hendershott of Raleigh, N.C.; three sisters, Marilyn Dobson, Elizabeth Miller and Jule Hendershott, all Raleigh; four brothers, David of Joliet, Ill., Timothy of Wayland, John of Patterson, N.Y. and Charles of Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends called Friday, Feb. 4, 2000 from 7-9 p.m. at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville, where a memorial service was held Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment was scheduled for Lakeview Cemetery, Groveland.
