Wayne Dingman, Sr., born September 18, 1931, on a Friday in Paris, Lamar County, Texas as the ninth child, sixth son, and first-born of twins of John Henry Dingman and Sallie Louise Hames.



The parents of Henry Dingman were Thomas Edward Dingman and Emily Chambers. The parents of Thomas Edward Dingman were Andrew R. Dingman and Elizabeth Watson.



Parents of Andrew Dingman were Adolphus and Catharine Frieson.



The parents of Louise Hames Dingman were Edward Boyd Hames and Mildred Bloomfield Duncan. The parents of Edward Boyd Hames were UNKNOWN.



The parents of Mildred Bloomfield Duncan were Capt. Marion Bloomfield Duncan and Permelia Ann Jeffries.



I have not researched this family yet, however, when researching I try to notice these surnames and have seen very little reference to them. At some future date, I will look into this lineage.

I did interview Mildred Duncan Hames before her death in 1957.





WAYNE DINGMAN, SR.





Wayne Dingman married to Jean Dingman on May 3, l953, Sunday afternoon at 6:00 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in Paris, Texas. To this marriage God gave two children, Wayne Dingman, Jr., born October 24, l967, in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas, and Melody Jean Dingman, born July 14, l969, in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas. This marriage ended in divorce, final on 20 Dec 1994, Paris, Lamar County, Texas.



Wayne Dingman, Jr. and Sandee Jean Ford were married in Paris, Lamar Co., TX on June 22, 1990. They currently live in New Orleans, LA.



Melody Jean Dingman, graduated from Paris High School, attended PJC for one or two semesters. She is employed with Paris Lumber and Building as of 1996.

Sallie Louise Hames, mother of Wayne Dingman, born November 1, 1894 at Brookston, Lamar County, Texas, married October 19, 1911 at Lewisville, Arkansas to John Henry Dingman, died September 22, 1976 at Paris, Lamar County, Texas and buried at El Bethel Cemetery near Paris, Texas.

8. Willie Mae Hames, born November 1, 1907 at Brookston, Lamar County, Texas, married Roy Harry Lower on August 18, 1935 at Hot Springs, Arkansas. Roy Harry "Dock" Lower died January 3, 1992 in Paris, Lamar Co., Texas, with burial on Jan. 6, 1992 at Hot Springs Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hot Springs, Ark. As of 8-10-97, Willie Mae is still living, but is in very poor health. She is 90 years of age, 1997. She died in 1998 or 1999 and is buried in Hot Spring, Ark cemetery beside her husband.





CAPTAIN MARION BLOOMFIELD DUNCAN





Captain Marion Bloomfield Duncan, maternal great-grandfather of Wayne Dingman, Sr., born 1822 in Spartonbury, South Carolina, married Permelia Ann Jefferies on unknown, died in 1864 at New Prospect, South Carolina following a heart attack while a captain in the Civil War.



Permelia Ann Jefferies, born July 5, 1832 in Union County, South Carolina, married unknown, to Marion Bloomfield Duncan, died January 15, 1901 at Paris, Texas and buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.



The Duncans owned a cotton and corn plantation and had Negro slave girls to work in the home and the fields. Children born to Marion Bloomfield Duncan and Permelia Ann Jefferies were
