Vietnam War Claims Life of Pfc. Glasford
Pfc. Michael Richard Glasford was reported killed in Vietnam July 29.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Glasford of Omak.
Glasford, who entered the service in November of 1967, had been in Vietnam about a month at the time of his death.
A 1967 graduate of Omak high school, he was 18 years old.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Precht Funeral Home, are pending.
Glasford was a private in the 101 airborne division, 327 infantry.
He attended the Methodist church and was a Future Farmers of America member while in school. He attended elementary school in Nespelem.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, David Schilling of Nespelem; sisters, Kathleen, Colleen, Patricia, Linda and Kelli, all of Omak;
grandmother, Mrs. Netti Schilling of Nespelem; and an aunt, Mrs. Freida Carr of California.
Funeral services will be held in the Methodist church with the Rev. Saul Herrera officiating. Military graveside services will be held at the Spring Canyon cemetery at Grand Coulee.
