NEW we added the "Tabulation of Household" column showing age groups of individuals within that household ... as all census records prior to 1850 only name of the head of household.
Explanation of the household tabulation: the first two digits represent number of white males over 16 in that particular household, followed by number of white males under 16, then white females, followed by other free persons and then number of slaves ...
the entries that have two page numbers ... is because some records were renumbered in later years, and various indexes have used one or the other ...
Note: an (x) beside the individuals name indicates we have transcribe that record ....
If a year [i.e. 1787] appears in the (x) column, that indicates a tax record that might aid in locating that individual, who might have been missed between census years .... several are found in various tax records prior to 1790.
Also note: the names recorded here, are from census indexes that were available to us, which only listed the head of the household in most cases. Some spellings [due to human and or mechanical error] were not transcribed as they appear in the original census records, some handwritings of the various census takers can be difficult to read, and the condition of the original record when it was microfilmed, and or the focus of the individual microfilm could have hampered the transcribing ... We will try our utmost to clear up most of these discrepancies as we verify each census record that is to be posted here on subsequent pages ...
