"a dweller on the path by the hedge"
Through the years with the Hudspeth's
by: Anna G. Ford
electronic submission By Dennis Awbrey
Although I hadn't personally come into contact with Anna Ford, but from what I have heard, she was a wonderful lady, very dedicated to the research and sharing of info on the Hudspeth's. Many have spoken highly of her 5 volume set of notes and research data ... and I am pleased [with the help of Dennis] to be able to pass these records on to the next generation's of family researcher's, in her honor through this avenue ....
Caution About Accuracy
It is important to note that much of the work contained in Anna’s book is the result of very early research. Continuing research since Anna published her book in 1971 has resulted in new findings which alter some dates, conclusions, and some kinships. Keep this in mind when using any of Anna’s material and always check to determine the latest information. Nothing would have made her happier than finding such “errors,” which she would have simply called, “new discoveries.”
Note: It is estimated that there are over 900 pages in this publication. We would appreciate a heads up about any info you might think is questionable or in error ... so that we do not propagate and further spread incorrect information through this avenue. [those of you who have personal copies of Anna's notebooks, and have jotted down notes, correction and additions ... please consider sharing that info with us, preferably before we post something here within this web site in error] As time goes on .... if there are any other additions and or corrections, fellow researcher's would like to be noted here within Anna's data, please send us an E-mail .... and we would be glad to note such info [and or a link to such info], so that the visitor's of this web site would have more actuate and up to date info where it applies ...
At this time it is not likely that we will publish Anna's manuscript in it's entirety, but put more focus on selected section of interest ... We will be starting with Volume 1 pages 1-19 as follows ...
- The following pages basically cover the majority of the various ancient church Parish Register's vital records that Anna and other's had discovered in and around Northumberland, England ...
Note: page 10 below is missing the bottom half of the page ... anyone knowing what the missing info is ? we hope you might share that info with us ...
