A recent article in the
Bolton Evening News has revealed the existence of a "Heaton
family window", formerly owned by William
Heaton and Sons and now in storage at Bolton Museum. The window
features a coat of arms, apparently based
on the one used by Richard Heaton in 1535, along with the family motto
"Nec Temere Nec Timide".
