The Descendents of Abraham Lagofsky (Login) and Lena Goodseidt
Immigration Records
This section contains immigration information for Abraham and Lena and their children. It appears that most of the family may have been living in Slutzk south of Minsk in Belorussia (see map) at the time they immigrated. The information I have gathered so far came from the Ellis Island Immigration Records using a search tool developed by Stephen Morse. Like most of us Stephen had trouble finding his Jewish ancestors from eastern Europe using the Ellis Island database search tool so he developed his own tool and put it one the internet for others to use. Hopefully we will be able to find the immigration records for the rest of the family one day.

Anna Lewon
Anna was born in 1881 and according to census records immigrated in 1907. In
1934 Samuel Lewon filed name change papers for himself, his wife Chishe and son
Maurice changing their name from Liwow to Lewon.
At that time Anna's name was officially changed from Chishe Liwow to Anna Lewon.
