Henrieville, Utah

Henrieville is located three miles east of Cannonville on Highway 12 and offers beautiful scenery with nearby fossil beds and a pioneer hiking trail to Kodachrome Basin. Henrieville was settled about 1878, and was named for James Henrie who was then President of the Panguitch Stake. The people had the same trouble and difficulties experienced in other settlements in that valley including water management. When floods came their dams went out and the town was left without water. Modern methods overcame this condition and a good water system for domestic purposes was installed. Primary industries are farming and stock raising. Fine orchards and gardens have always been raised in this country.

Population stands at about 200 in 2001.
