TURNER

I am researching the TURNERS of Gissing and Fundenhall in Norfolk, England.

James TURNER was born in Gissing about 1750, the son of Charles TURNER bc 1720 and Sarah.
James TURNER married Esther ROYAL in Bunwell on July 6, 1773. They had the following children....
Ann (Ann TURNER appears as witness to one of her Goodrum half-brother's wedding.)
James bc 1777
Mary bc 1780

Esther was buried in Fundenhall Jan 1, 1812.

James TURNER married Elizabeth GOODRUM in Fundenhall on April 7, 1812.
Previous to their marriage, James and Elizabeth had 10 children, all bearing their mother's surname of GOODRUM.
A list of the children of James TURNER and Elizabeth GOODRUM are on the GOODRUM page.

Elizabeth was buried in Fundenhall Jan 27, 1822.

James TURNER then married Sarah HAYWOOD, a widow, on September 19,  1822.
I find no children from this union.

James TURNER died in Fundenhall in 1840.

********************************************************************************

There is an Ann TURNER living in Gissing, married to a John KNIGHTS and raising her family in Gissing. At this time I am left to wonder if this Ann may be a sister to the above James.
Further research into the parish records of Gissing is needed.
