There seems to be considerable disagreement as to when this man died and when and where he is buried. Burial on 13 July 1680 in Hartford is often given, with NO supporting evidence, but 20 December 1678 is given as date of death in Norwich Fairfield county Connecticut. Confusion reigns!!!!!
It appears that his will was dated 20 Dec 1678, in Norwalk, CT, but the probate was not begun until 12 Jul 1680, filed with Probate Court - Fairfield Co. CT - Norwalk Probate District.
The estate inventory is dated 17 Dec 1680, Widow Alice (Bouton) Marvin, made oath to the Inventory. 2 (Note: His wife is given as Elizabeth when he came to New England. Must be a second wife.)
