Birth* circa 1773 Amanda was born circa 1773 at Norwich, Massachusetts. She may have died young., tho she seems to be on the 1790 census with her father, but no mother, in Norwich, MA. Her mother is not known but is not likely Amanda Elderkin.1,2 
(Witness) !AInfoNew The Heirs of Walter Fobes are listed on the tax list as Amanda his wife, William, Artimus two sons, Louisa, Harmony and Octavo three daughters. Octavo is really Octavia, Italics mine. Youngest daughter Fanny is not listed, nor are older children Alva, Amanda and Rosamond and younger daughter Lucia.3 
!AInfoNew* 1854 There is a possibility that she did come to Ohio and lived in Ashtabula county. In Wayne township, Ashtabula county, Ohio there is an Amanda A Fobes who died in 1854 with no family relation ship given, tho she is buried in the same area as the Levi Fobes family. This Amanda that is buried in Lindenville cemetery is more likely the daughter of Azil Backus Fobes and Christina Fitch.4
