MovedTo circa 1860 Morgan R. Abel moved to at Goodhue, Minnesota, about circa 1860 as daughter Sarah was born in Goodhue.4 

They appear to have lived in Wisconsin until about 1860 as their first two children were born in Wisconsin. The next 8 children were born in Minnesota. They may have moved back to Wisconsin after the stay in Minnesota.5

Mil Info 21 Aug 1862 Morgan served during the Civil  in Company D 10th Regiment Zumbrota (Goodhue) MN. Information from Dalby Data, Historical Society and war records. Discharged for disability. Mustered in August 21, 1862, Mustered out February 17, 1864. as a Pvt. 
1865 Morgan was a soldier in the Civil War. At the time that "Peter Eastman Family records" was prepared they were living in Wasigoa, Wisconsin and had 10 children.6

1875 On the 1875 census this family is living in Cherry Grove, Goodhue county, Minnesota.

Morgan is 63 years old, born in December of 1836 in Ohio, father born in New Jersey, mother born in Virginia. He is a carpenter and owns his home free and clear. Wife of 45 years is Mary who is 62, born in June of 1837 in Ohio, both parents born in Pennsylvania. She has had 12 children, 10 of whom are living. Only child at home is Fred who is 27 years old, born in Feb 1875 and is a farmer.9

Cen1910 1910 Morgan R. Abel shows on the U.S. Census for 1910 at Wasioja, Dodge county, Minnesota Morgan is now 73 years old, born in Ohio and is employed as a US mail carrier. He has been married for 50 years to Mary A. who is 72 years old, born in Ohio. Now she says that she has had 10 children and all are living. Actually they have been married for 55 years.

Death 21 Sept 1918 Morgan R. died on 21 September 1918 at Wasioja, Dodge county, Minnesota at age 81.2
