Cen1850 1850 Mary Ann Ward and Alvah Hamilton Eastman appear on the 1850 census of Union township, Licking county, Ohio. Alvah is 36 years old, born in New York. Wife is Mary A. who is 47 years old, born in Ohio.

Herman 1.
All children born in Ohio. Only Herman is likely the child of Mary. The other children were by the first wife, Phebe.3

1850 death?? when and where, census Ohio etc, 1850 It is likely that she died before the 1860 census as she does not show on this census with Alva but son Herman does.   It is possible that she did in Wisconsin or on the way TO Wisconsin where we find Alvah in 1855.   This census DOES NOT give members of the family by name.
