Birth 13 July 1754 Samuel was born on 13 July 1754 at Lyme, New London, Connecticut.4 

Samuel served in the revolutionary war, in Peter Van Ness' regiment from New York.

The Adsit Log Cabin on Willsboro Point was probably constructed in the early 1790's. It was erected by one Samuel Adsit, who came to the area from Duchess County, NY.  Samuel and his wife Phebe came north to find land and cut out a life for themselves in the northern reaches of New York State, where large tracts of land were established for sale. The settled in the Town of Willsboro, now a relatively peaceful area in the aftermath of the Revolutionary War, and acquired a parcel of land along the west shore of Lake Champlain. It was here, high on a ridge overlooking the lake, that the couple built their first home. The small log cabin which remains intact in it original setting to this day.4

This cabin is on the National Historic Register.
Death 1830 Samuel died in 1830 at Wellsboro, Essex county,  New York.
