This census was recorded on on 3 April 1930. Caroline appears as Carrie
Feldman on this census. She is a 70 year old widow. She owns as $6000
house and has a radio. Daughter Elsie and her second husband are living
in the same household. Elsie is 42, first married when 28. Her husband
is Lee S Steiner, 47, a grocery store owner. He was first married when 26. There are no children.1 |
| Note | 1962 | In 1962 Florence Mayer says that at least this woman is living on West Main Street in Morrison, Illinois. She does not say if Mr. Steiner is living or not.2 Lee may have died in 1959. There is an obituary in the Sterling Daily Gazette but it appears to have a wife other than Elsie listed. Needs to be further investigated. Gives Maud Rounds as wife. This Maud is given as wife in 1920 |
