(Witness) Cen1920 16 January 1920 Florence Mayer appears on the 1920 census in the household of Matt Lane at 5th Ward, Houston City, Harris county, Texas. His name is hard to read. COULD be Lane. He is 42 years old, born in Illinois. It is not possible to read what his employment is. Wife is Louisa, 43, born in Illinois. They have three children the name of the oldest is not readible. He is 16. Son Fred is 15 and daughter Dorothy is 13. All children born in Texas. Three sisters of Louisa are in the household. Emma is 42, a bookkeeper for a bank. Clara is 32 a stenographer for the Rail Road and Florence is 21, also a stenographer for the Rail Road. The three sisters were born in Illinois.2 
Note* Florence states in her letter to Dorothea that Vera Fowler Angel's mother and Sara Winters Mayer were cousins. DEH asks that no one contact her, tho' Florence gives her address in Clinton, IA.

Appears that she never married. Address given on E410 is Miss in Houston,TX

On a note card of EDITH MORIN's while she was living in Farmer in the Dell in Florida, is an address of 625 Bayland, Houston 9 Texas for this woman and her sister.. Noted that this woman was deceased, in pencil
