many questions about the family, but it appears that only partial
answers were given. Many times, Dorothea would speak of a person but
ask that that person not be contacted, giving no reason.2 |

working life. She never married but lived with a woman named Lillian.
They came to Michigan one summer when I was about 8 or 9. That would be
in the early 40's. Might have been before that as by 1942 NO ONE was
going anywhere because of the war. Some of the bits and pieces about

and Eureka Springs, Arkansas to see the Passion play. This was the
summer of the severe floods in the Mid West. Clinton did not suffer to
badly. She indicated that they tried to go to Branson at least once a

Dorothea E. Howard Mar 29 2001 12:00AM Dorothea E. Howard, 95, Clinton, died Tuesday at the Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory with the Rev. Ron Lott officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment will be Friday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Camanche. Pallbearers will be Vernon Rosenberger, Clarence Krogman, Mike Clemence, Kenneth Weaver, Bill Luckritz and Willis Petersen. She was born April 23, 1905 to John and Flora Feldman Howard in Clinton. She was a 1922 graduated of Clinton High School. She was employed as an assistant vice president at First National Bank for more than 47 years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the YWCA. Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Death date: March 27, 2001.11 |
