Marriage circa 1053 Edward The Exile married Agatha of Germany, daughter of Ludwig von Braunschwig and Gertrude von Egisheim, circa 1053.6,2,7,5  
1057 After the Danish conquest in 1016, the surviving English æthelings were in exile on the continent. Alfred and Edward the Confessor, sons of Æthelred, stayed in Normandy,  Alfred returned to England and his death in 1036 and Edward returned to joint kingship of England in 1041. Edward the Exile and Edmund, sons of Edmund Ironside, travelled much more widely until Edward and his son Edgar returned home in August of 1057.8

Death 1057 Edward died in 1057 at London, England of natural causes and is buried at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, England.3,4,9,5    Tho' there is some speculation that he was murdered.  He had many enemies.....those that were lusting after the throne.
