His mother was Clarissa also. There are NO children of Philip and
Celina on this census tho' we believe that Carrie was born in
1876. They are living next door to Harvey Potter, the father of Celina.

died of cholera in Kalamzaoo, Michigan. She is buried in Keeler
cemetery in Van Buren county. She died of Chlorea. She was a patient at
the state Hospital in Kalamazoo.5,6 |

The body of Frank Bass, 78, was brought here for burial Sunday afternoon following funeral services at Dowagiac. Bass died Thursday nite at his home in Kalamazoo after a long illness. Bass was born in Keeler township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephan Bass. The family moved to Dowagiac, where they resided until a few years ago, when Bass moved to Kalamazoo. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Evan Carrier, of Dowagiac and sister Mrs. Sarah Irish and a brother Wesley Bass of Manton, Michigan. Note: Sarah Irish is actually his step sister; Wesley is 1/2 brother; and they moved to Nebraska before they lived in Dowagiac. The daughter is daughter Rosa Mary. |
