Cen1840 1840 Sarah Miller and James H Hannold may appear on the 1840 U.S. census for Greenwich, Gloucester county, New Jersey.   James is 30 to 40 years old. He would be 37 if born in 1803. Wife, is 20-30 years old. No males under 5. 1 Male 5-10 would be Thomas. The two males 10-15 would be Benjamin, aout 12 and Adrian about 13. The female under 5 is either Beulah or Mary Matilda. The female 10 to 15 is Sarah Jane. Mother Keziah is listed as head of household just a few door away.6

Cen1850 5 October 1850 Sarah Miller appears on the 1850 census of Paulsboro, Greenwich township, Gloucester county, New Jersey On this census James is 46 years old, a waterman with $800 of real estate. Wife, Sarah is 43, both born in New Jersey. Their children were Benjamin D 22 a farmer; Thomas C 18 a waterman; Beulah 13, Mary M 10,Charles C 8, Thompson 5 and James F 2. Son Adrian P is living next door. A few doors away is Frederick Hannold, brother of James and William Huff and wife Harriet.

Also on this census sheet are families Gill, Miller, Huff and Cougill.7

CEN1860 1860 Sarah Miller and James H Hannold appear on the 1860 census of Paulsboro, Greenwich township, Gloucester county, New Jersey taken on 1860 James is a 57 year old "waterman". Wife is Sarah 57. Children still at home are:
Matilda (This is Mary Matilda) 20
Charles 18
Thomson 15
James 13

There also is a baby 9/12 years old whose name is Charles Hannold. No relationship given but likely a grandchild.......but son of whom is not known.8

Death 23 Feb 1868 Sarah died on 23 February 1868 at Billingsport, Greenwich township, Gloucester county,  New Jersey.9
