Johnathan Moore, was a member to the president's bodygaurd, namely George Washington, while he was leading the colonists to freedom. Buried at Sharon Cemetery, Bartholomew Co, Ind.

      Served under Col Crawford, at Crawford's Defeat.
    Placed on a pension 8-22-1836, back pay to 3-4-1836
   Proven June term, 1847, in the Court of Common Pleas.

      Enlisted 1777, Va, also 1781, Va.
     Served at Nutters Fort, in Virginia.
     Listed in Pa archives, S 3, V. XII, page 78, attached to Captain Wilson's Co.
     Also Series 6, Vol 1, page 405, private 5th Pa Bn, with Capt. John Smith's Co, 1777.

	Discharged 1-21-1866, Macon, Georgia.

Emanuel Hagen Moore,b 9-19-1846, Ohio, d 1-30-1889

	Enlisted Co D, 140th Reg Indiana Volunteers, on 10-4-1864; served until July, 1965.
      Served with the 145th Regiment also. Emanuel served till the end of the war.

Samuel Larswood Bush Moore,b 4-29-1832, d 9-19-1902

        Served with the Northern Army, Co H, 50th Indiana Volunteers.
Howard Cordell, b 1826, d 3-26-1863 of lung infection
       Wife's obituary shows he was away as a soldier in the Army, when she died on 3-19-1863.

George W.Cordell, b 10-18-1839, d 10-18-1914 (Tobias' brother)

      Served with Co C, 187th Indiana Infantry.

Francis Elkins, b 1841 (Hanna's brother) Died in the Cival War.

Melvin E.Moore, b 3-1-1841 (son of Michael Moore)

	Served in Co E, 2nd Reg, W.Virginia Volunteer Infantry
      Co E, 5th Reg., W. VA Volunteer Cavalry; and Co K, 6th Reg., W.Virginia Volunteers
      Prisoner of war for 4 months, after the battle of Piedmont.
      In the fall of 1865, he was sent with a vateran regiment to Kansas, and Colorado, to fight Indians.
      Mustered out 5-22-1866, at Leavensworth,Kansas.
      Was one of Gen. Howard's bodyguards during the trial of the Lincoln conspirators.

      Served with the 179th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry.
