They owned land in and near Grandview, Ind. Thomas Sr. died 16April1893, in Spencer Co. Sarah died 15April1878, Spencer Co., age 83. Both are buried at Beasley Cemetery, east of Chrisney, Ind. There are also a single grave(as infant) and a double as for twins, with no names or dates.

Note: After finding the 1850 Census, Spencer Co, Centre Twp, I noted the following: Lucretia, age 13, Thomas Jr, age 10, but did not find John or Chris. What I found was Joseph, age 14 (could be John Joseph), Iuop?, age 5, Sarah Ann, age 4, Frances A, age 2, Nancy, age 1 month. Also an Isaac N.Bays, age 24, living in the household.

1 John Bays, lived in Grandview,Ind. with his wife, Lou.

3 Lucretia Bays, lived in Newtonville, Ind., married 1st: Brady, 2nd: Fisher.

5 Thomas Jefferson Bays Jr., born 20Oct1841, Switzerland Co., Vevay, Ind. Owned land in and near Chrisney, Ind. He died 10 Dec 1930, Chrisney, Ind., age 89.

Thomas married Sarah Ann Fahy, born 14 May 1846, died 15 July 1936, Chrisney, Ind. Daughter and only child of John and Catherine Fahy (also Fahey). Marriage was probably Spencer Co., because John Fahy owned a farm east of Chrisney, and their sons were born there.
