The Globe, Made in Greenwich, weighs 40 tons and is 10feet in diameter. It was erected at Swanage in 1887. It's surface is carved to show the continents and oceans of the World. 

In the background is the last Sea going Paddle steamer the "Waverley"

The Clock Tower

Erected in 1854 as a memorial to the Duke of Wellington, it originally stood at the southern approach to London bridge.
