"Dad and mother survived the 1930's without any complete failures and in 1944 sold their household possessions and moved to Victoria, B.C. leaving my brother Elmer in charge of the farm. They lived into (sic) a new bungalow on Adanac Street where they gardened and enjoyed life until ill health struck Dad in 1951. He lived until July 4 1956. Mother continued to live there until her death Nov 8 1960. Mother kept very active her later years b ut the years of nursing Dad had taken their toll. My daughter Maurine lived with her for her last year."
