Does anyone know any of these people?

Articles from The Warsaw Bulletin, 1901, a newspaper published in Warsaw, Hancock County, IL.

At the present time, Wm. Harrison is not expected to survive much longer.  The children have all been telephoned to come to his bedside.  He has been quite ill for a few days with lung fever, and the fact that he is 77 years of age makes it much worse with him.

The deceased was failing for some time, and January 1st was taken down with lung fever, which caused his death.  He was born Jan. 7, 1824, at Lancashire, England.  In 1842, sailed for America and located in St. Louis.  A little later moved to Nauvoo, and in 1845, settled on a farm near where he died, being one of the early settlers.  He was married to Maria Kirkendall Oct. 19, 1851, who died Aug. 25, 1865.  To them eight children were born, Emma, Elizabeth, Martha, and Austin, preceded their father in death, while James and George , of this place; John, of Hamilton; and Eudora Spence, wife of Chas. Spence, of Elvaston, survived to mourn their father's demise.  The second marriage took place, April 15, 1867, to Mrs. Barbara Dobbs.  To them, five children were born.  The surviving children are Joseph H., of this place and Mrs. Etheline Altheide, wife of John Altheide, of Elvaston.  The deceased are Mrs. Garney Romaine, Willard, and Edmond.  He is also survived by his wife, two brothers, Edward of this place, and Joseph, of South Dakota, twenty-six grand children and two great grandchildren.  Mr. Harrison was an upright man, a good neighbor, and was respected by all.

The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in their hour of sorrow.  The remains were interred at the Buckeye cemetery, Thursday, the 10th at 1 p.m.
