In the name of the Benevolent Father of all:

I Batteal Harrison, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following.

1st I give devise and bequeath to Lydia A. Harrison, my beloved wife, in lieu of her dower in my real estate, the fifteen acres together with all the appurtances (sic - appurtenances) thereunto belonging where we now live (it being the land deeded to me by my father Benjamin Harrison) to have and to hold the same during her natural life, I also give and bequeath unto her one cow, one horse and carriage, and all of the household goods and kitchen furniture.

2nd I give devise and bequeath to my father Benjamin Harrison (my executor herein after appointed) in trust for the purpose herein after stated the balance of my real estate consisting of the thirty-five acres more or less that adjoins the parcel above devised to my wife for life situated in Range Township, Madison County, Ohio, it being the land I purchased of Lydia Brown and where my son Alvah, is now living, together with all of my personal property of every kind and description; that my said father shall sell my said real and personal estate at such time and manner as in his judgment may deem best and out of the proceeds of the same pay my just debts and funeral expenses. And if there should be anything left after the payment of my debts as afore said it is my will that my said father shall distribute the same according to the Statute of Ohio to my said wife and children.

3rd I hereby nominate and appoint my father Benjamin Harrison executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby authorizing and empowering him to execute and deliver deeds to purchase of said real estate.

4th It is further my will that there be no appraisement of my estate, and that my father, as my executor, be not required to execute any bond; that the Court direct the omission of the same.

I testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of January A. D. 1890.

Signed sealed and acknowledge by Batteal Harrison as his last Will and Testament in our presence and that we signed the same as witnesses in his presence and at the request of the testator and in the presence of each other.
