CHARLES G. HARRISON born on December 6, 1859 in South Carolina (as
far as can be confirmed) to John HARRISON (born about 1832) and Susan
? (born about 1840).
Charles married Martha (Mattie) Agnes ISOM on
January 23, 1884 in a ceremony by Rev. White of Rockhill, York Co.,
SC. They had one daughter, Lula Elizabeth HARRISON. A few months
after the birth of Lula, Charles reportedly left South Carolina
for Texas (apprx. October 15, 1885) to look for work and was never
heard from again.
Martha (Mattie) and Lula stayed with Charles'
parents in SC for some time waiting for word from him, but when
he failed to return or contact his family, she and Lula went with
Mattie's brother to Texas. When they failed to locate Charles, she
later filed for divorce, and no one ever heard from him again. The
family has been unsuccessful in their attempts to locate any census
or other vital statistics records on Charles, and we don't have
any further record on he, nor the Harrison family in South Carolina.
