Served in Tennessee Militia during the War of 1812. Fought in the Battle of New Orleans. Was Ensign in Capt. Wiley Huddleston's Company in Col. James Ralston's Regiment. Received Military warranty #22604. His will is recorded on Overton Co., TN. Turney Groce lives on the old home place. Most of the farm land is now submerged in Dale Hollow Lake. Cordell Hull was born on a farm that was partly directly across Wolf River from part of the Harrison farm.

4th census of the U.S. Roll 122 TN. Overton Co. [193684 LDS microfilm] pg. 260 there is a record of Benjamin Harrison. [S826]
