Lawrenceville, VA Book 14, page 97 February 26, 1781 "Indenture between Nathaniel Harrison Sr. of Brunswick County of the one grant and Nathaniel Harrison, Jr. & James Harrison of the said county sons of Gabriel Harrison deceased and grandsons of the said Nathaniel Harrison, Sr. of the other grant. Witnesseth that the said Nathaniel Harrison, Sr. as well for/in consideration of the natural loves and affection which he hath bear unto said Nathaniel Harrison, Jr. and James Harrison his grandons as also for the better maintenance & preferment of the said Nathaniel Harrison & James Harrison. Land to be divided when they come of age."
This Indenture made the twenty first Day of February 1781 BETWEEN Benjamin Blick of the County of Brunswick of the one part, and the Orphans of Gabriel Harrison of the other part . . . for and in consideration of the love and friendship which he the said Benjamin Blick doth bear to the said Orphans Doth after his and his wifes decease Give grant alien and confirm unto the said Orphans four Negroes and their increase from this date (to wit) unto Jane Harrison one Negro Cyries . . . unto Nathaniel Harrison one Negro Judith and her increase . . . unto James Harrison one Negro Grace and her increase . . ., and unto Sarah Anne Harrison one negro Aggy and all her increase after this date . . . But if either of the girls should die before they come of age or before they have a Child to heir their Negroes, then the other Girl shall have her sisters negroes . . . Signed by Benjamin Blick. At a Court held for Brunswick County the 26th Day of February 1781. This Indenture was Acknowledged by Benjamin Blick a party thereto and ordered to be recorded. Deed Book 14, page 98.
