William Butler Harrison after the Revolutionary War did not join his father in Kentucky but resided to the end of his life in Loudoun County, Virginia where he was a prominent citizen, often referred to as "Major." He served as a cornet in the cavalry troop of Light Horse Harry Lee throughout the Revolution.
